Why do we get to heal thrush.
1. Our doctors have been dealing with this problem for more than 10 years, are the authors of scientific works on the treatment of candidiasis in gynecology.
2. In our clinic there are the greatest possibilities of diagnostic search in case of complicated candidiasis.
3. We do not invent virtual programs of course treatment and avoid unreasonable examination.
4. We are not engaged in non-evidence-based practices, especially in the field of impact on the immune system.
Vaginal candidiasis and new in the treatment of thrush.
What is candidiasis and what is thrush.
Vulvovaginal candidiasis is an inflammatory disease of the vagina and vulva caused by fungi of the genus Candida. Thrush is a common name for candidiasis, since the secretions and plaque on the mucous membrane resemble some dairy products.
Who is sick with thrush?
Episodes of vaginal candidiasis one or more times in life carry many women (called 75% of women who reached childbearing age). This is not surprising, since yeast fungi of the genus Candida occur in the vagina of most adult women. It’s amazing that some people do not develop the disease, and in others, episodes of thrush appear repeatedly. Approximately half of the women by the age of 25 manage to transfer already 2 episodes of thrush. And the problem is that in some women the thrush passes into a chronic form and worries them at least 2-4 times every year.
Why develop vaginal candidiasis.
Thrush can be considered partly an infection, and partly – a kind of allergy, intolerance to Candida fungi. For some reason these fungi begin to multiply intensively, and the mucous membrane of the vagina gives them an inflammatory reaction.
In the life of an adult woman, there sometimes comes a time when the vaginal environment becomes especially attractive for candida growth. This is the period of pregnancy, various hormonal changes, the time of taking hormonal contraceptives. In addition, the use of antibiotics in the treatment of various diseases can disrupt the balance of the vaginal microflora, and in place of lactobacilli these yeast or other bacteria come.
Questions about why a chronic thrush develops with frequent exacerbations (relapses) is difficult to answer. Most likely, the matter is in the features of immunity and individual reaction of a person to Candida. This hypothesis has only been proved experimentally only recently (Fidel P. 2003) – some volunteers gave symptoms of thrush with the introduction of candida culture, while others did not. Earlier it was established that a special multifactorial analysis of Candida allergy in healthy women from the control group gives one reaction, while in the case of those suffering from chronic candidiasis, another one (Sergeev A. Yu. 2000.
What to do with thrush.
Thrush is not a venereal disease. Do not look for the source of infection – it has always been in your body. It is necessary to get rid of current manifestations of thrush and try to prevent her episodes from repeating. The first is easy, and the second is very difficult. Farewell to the thrush, promised by well-known advertising, can last for a long time, and the guarantee from subsequent relapses will not give any of the numerous drugs produced as a remedy for thrush.
If you are concerned about the symptoms of yeast infection – discharge, often taking a characteristic cheesy look, vaginal itching, redness of the vulva, discomfort during and after sexual intercourse, or a feeling of pain and burning when urinating, consult a doctor. What the doctor should do.
Establish an accurate diagnosis of vaginal candidiasis. Similar discharge and symptoms can accompany other infectious and inflammatory diseases.
Eliminate the manifestations of thrush.
Determine the form of the disease, its propensity to relapse.
Create a preventive program that will help reduce the risk of new episodes of thrush.
We would like to caution you against independent search for the reasons why thrush does not pass. In our memory, many stories of unsuccessful self-treatment by various means, attempts to restore balance in the body, to cleanse or raise immunity.
An unprofessional approach can lead you, in addition to wasting time and wasting time, to disappointment in the possibilities of modern medicine. The only correct move in the game with thrush is a visit to the gynecologist.
Thrush is different.
Perhaps you have already been treated repeatedly for thrush, but it still bothers you. This happens with chronic recurrent forms of candidiasis, to which some people are predisposed.
But this can happen with improperly selected treatment, or self-medication. Isolate the so-called complicated vulvovaginal candidiasis, which is more often observed in older women, who have had other vaginal infections or who have certain concomitant diseases. Complicated candidiasis of the vagina can be caused by rare species of Candida. resistant to those of thrush, which are widely advertised, sold without a prescription and therefore used by millions of women.
Examination, which will help to cure thrush.
New methods of diagnosis of candidiasis have been introduced in recent years. While the usual diagnosis of candidiasis was limited to the microscopy of the vaginal smear and, in rare cases, to seeding with the allocation of Candida fungi, today sophisticated test systems and computer analyzers have been created that allow you to learn all about the pathogens of the yeast infection. What can modern examination with candidiasis.
Find out if it really is a candidiasis. To do this, quantitative seeding on Candida is done. that is, the number of yeast colonies isolated from the vagina is counted. It should be sufficient for the development of candidiasis.
Set the type of pathogen. If it is a species such as, for example, C. krusei or C. glabrata. treat it with OTC pills does not make sense. This is a complicated candidiasis.
Determine the sensitivity of the selected species of candida to antifungal agents. Now you and your doctor will know which drugs are effective in treating your type of thrush, and which ones are not.
The above survey scheme is the most effective, but is rarely used for vaginal candidiasis. Usually it is reserved for severe forms of systemic candidiasis, or for scientific research. It’s not just that most medical centers do not have such opportunities. To many doctors, it is simply not known, so they can not interpret data from such studies. EuroFemme gynecologists own such a technology, and we do all these tests.
In our clinic, candidiasis studies are conducted under the supervision of Professor A.Yu. Sergeev, author of the well-known monograph Candidosis (M. 2001, 472 pp.). He was offered another method of diagnosing vaginal candidiasis: a test that establishes a predisposition to recurrence of thrush.
Having passed this test, you will be able to find out your type of response to Candida and determine if you have an immunologically-conditioned tendency to frequent recurrence of thrush. This will help to make such a program of therapy for vaginal candidiasis, which will protect you from frequent episodes of thrush in the future.
Our doctors are ready to help you in any form of thrush – from a fresh episode of her – to a disease with a chronic long-term course, constant and frequent symptoms, repeated attempts at treatment. Our own experience and the results of our scientific research allow us to solve this problem.
* This analysis should be carried out on a certified test system (while they are only released abroad), rather than using self-made disks and arbitrary putting of plus signs, as is often done in many domestic laboratories. At the time of publication of the material, it was this study that was performed with the help of ATB systems (Bio-Rad, France), which gives a reliable result and therefore is significant for the treatment of candidiasis.
